Through ten years’ investigation and development, Philwong hospital management system on user communities unceasing demand promotion and under existing management change request, and the original product union, had promoted a set of new generation of hospital information management system PWHIS4.0. New system further took the patient as the center, took the person and property as the masterstroke, according to country and locality standard strictly, adopted to advance net and database and program technique, collections of all medical treatment, and gained no paper work’s ends. Mainly manifested in following several aspects:
(1) PWHIS4.0 system standardization degree was high and information was standard. In the overall system, information choice and the definition unification standard, the encoding followed the highest standard principle, used international or the National Medical department standard code as far as possible, guaranteed the system information the science advanced and advantageous for the exchange, had laid the solid foundation for the system promotion application.

Philwong HIS mainly included clinical diagnoses and treats, the drugs management, the economical management, the synthesis management and counts four big aspects nearly 30 subsystems, from the hospital person, the wealth ,and the things to carry on the management.
The clinical diagnosing and treating part mainly took the patient information as a core, and the entire diagnose process of patient to take the master line, and the hospital all administrative offices would launch the work along this master line. With the patient in the hospital each step diagnosing and treating and carrying on, produced then processed with the patient diagnoses and treats about each kind of related diagnosing treating data and information. Entire diagnosing and treating activities mainly completes by each kind with the diagnosing and treating related workstation, and carried on this part of clinical information the reorganization, processing, compiles, the statistics, the analysis and so on. It Included: clinic service doctor workstation, hospital doctor workstation, ward nurse workstation, clinical examination system, medical technique management system, medicine phantom system, operating room anesthesia system small steelyard systems.
The drugs management part was used in assisting the entire hospital to complete to the drugs management computer application procedure. Its primary mission was to manage information of medical store, preparation, clinic service pharmacy, in-hospital pharmacy, drugs price etc. and support clinical reasonable medication, including prescription or doctor's advice reasonable medication examination, medicine information consultant, medication consultation and so on. Also including drugs storehouse subsystem, outpatient service pharmacy subsystem, hospitalized the pharmacy subsystem and preparation room management subsystem.

It completely managed hospital related finance information.
The synthesis management and count part mainly included chiefly synthesized inquiries and analysis system, illness records management system, patient consultation system, synthesis statistics management system, system administration system, medical affairs management system, human affairs wages management system and the medical service quality control system etc.
System characteristics

(3) During medical service process, we reduced the manual intervention in the medical service information transmission process as little as possible, and established supervision mechanism which was linked together to guarantee information transmission not distorted (achieved “count one”, “algorithm was unified “,” measure was consistent” and guaranteed system data uniformity and validity).
(4) Establish various links operation behavior business to supervise the record system to achieve self-restraint, supervise mutually, inspect work reutilization and institution.
(5) Foundation data dictionary used international or domestic already standardized, standardized data dictionary as far as possible (for example HL7, ICD-9, ICD-10, DICOM and so on), reserved interface to the data which wasn’t standard.
